The Sacramento Area Sewer District convened on Oct. 22 and approved the consent calendar (items 1–7) unanimously. District engineering staff reported they are advancing a dedicated land-disposal unit to replace a costly supplemental solids-harvest process, which staff estimated is costing about three-quarters of a million dollars per month in extra expense. The board had no public commenters and scheduled limited meetings in November and December.
