Julie Walker, a candidate for Seat 4 in the new school district that would cover Orem, Linden, Pleasant Grove and Vineyard (working name "Timpanogos"), discussed priorities including hiring a superintendent, school safety, boundary adjustments, redevelopment agreements that affect property-tax revenue, transportation, special education facilities, partnerships with charter and tech schools, curriculum and graduation standards, and policies on student behavior and extracurriculars. She emphasized teacher support, fiscal responsibility and parent engagement while saying she would negotiate RDAs/CDA terms, favor attendance and interventions over social promotion, and back limits on classroom expression she described as ideological. Walker provided campaign contact information at the end of the interview.
