The Wasilla Planning Commission met Oct. 14, 2025. The meeting opened at 6 p.m.; after roll call and the pledge, the commission heard a guest presentation on bird vetch identification and control from a UAF/Extension collaborator, received detailed infrastructure reports from Public Works Director Eric Shaw on water, sewer and airport projects, and heard extended procedural and records-related remarks from Commissioner Lanshill. The consent agenda (including Sept. 9, 2025 minutes) was approved. Staff and members discussed coordination with DOT, Soil and Water Conservation, wetland permitting for sewer discharge, ARPA- and FAA-funded projects, and next steps for local invasive-plant control.
