On Nov. 3, 2025, the Sunnyvale City Council held a special meeting to interview seven applicants for one vacancy on the Human Relations Commission. Council members questioned candidates about outreach to marginalized groups, youth representation, north/south equity in Sunnyvale, services for people experiencing homelessness, and strategies for boosting public engagement. The council will make an appointment at its Nov. 18 meeting.
