City commissioners, the Charter Review Advisory Board and staff held a public town-hall style meeting focused on the ongoing charter review, local election timing and structure, agenda/notice practices and the citys governance roles. Commissioners and advisory board members discussed tradeoffs between turnout, campaign cost and local control, possible charter provisions on agenda posting and periodic charter reviews, and the role/powers of the city manager. The meeting also included public comments about parks (Robert & Mary Kane Park), a Saint Andrews soccer club proposal, the parks director recruitment, maintenance complaints (sidewalks, bike pump, drainage) and a detailed, contested update on the West Beach Drive multiuse path and a potential FDOT road transfer.
