A joint meeting of Bristol City Council and Board of Finance approved a package of capital project resolutions, authorized an appropriation and bond issuance for the Andrew Street culvert, approved a $91,955 transfer and appropriation for a new fire ladder truck (including funding for radios), and unanimously raised the senior homeowner tax-relief income limit to $75,000. The finance director reported strong investment income, an $80,875,000 short-term notes program due next November and a recent Fitch AA+ affirmation; several routine appointments and resignations were handled. Public commenters pressed the council on school funding and conservation of the Hoppers Nature Preserve. The council also approved settlement stipulations in three tax appeals in executive session.
