The Anchorage Planning Board on Oct. 1, 2025 approved a staff-recommended modification to plat note 14 for Plat 2004-91 (Rabbit Creek View and Rabbit Creek Heights Subdivision, Block 7H, Lot 7A), allowing a single driveway to take direct vehicle access to Carl Street. The petitioner, Rusty Allen, said steep grades from the cul-de-sac frontage made access from Susan/Suzanne Circle impractical; staff found the modification met subdivision approval criteria and recommended conditions 1 and 2 on page 3 of the staff report. No one testified during public comment; the board voted to approve the modification and discussed adding or enforcing on-site turnaround/parking requirements for future cases.
