The South Pasadena Unified School District Board met on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2024. The board reconvened from closed session to disclose that it had approved three student settlement agreements by unanimous votes, then conducted public hearings related to labor negotiations, heard public comments including a parent alleging mishandling of a student sexual-abuse report and a high school senior asking that yearbook be classified as a visual and performing arts course. The board approved a consent agenda, moved a May meeting date, authorized AB 1200 disclosures for tentative agreements, approved tentative agreements and opened negotiations for multiple bargaining units, granted a provisional internship permit, and approved one-time off-schedule 3% payments for several employee groups and administrators.
