The Seal Beach Stormwater Advisory Ad Hoc Committee met Nov. 4, 2025 to review winter preparedness, a new OCTA grant for a Galleon Way trash interceptor, drainage problems tied to Old Ranch Country Club lakes and easement obligations, and prioritized targeted CCTV/cleaning of several storm drain lines after recent inspections. Staff said city catch-basin cleaning is scheduled to start Nov. 17 and reported a $75,000 capital allocation (SD2503) for CCTV/cleaning. Committee members endorsed using the SD2503 funds for exploratory cleaning and structural checks at identified hotspots and asked staff for follow-up reports.
