City of Walker staff and consultants presented a housing needs assessment and five scenarios to guide a new “Book 5” of the master plan focused on housing. McKenna consultants projected Walker could grow to more than 31,000 people by 2040 and recommended planning for about 1,500 new housing units to avoid falling behind demand. Attendees discussed housing types, development scenarios, and next steps, with a follow-up meeting planned for January.
