At its Nov. 4, 2025 meeting, the City of Port Washington Common Council advanced a major package of approvals for the proposed Vantage (Lighthouse) data center campus — including annexation of roughly 90.642 acres, permanent rezoning to an I‑3 Technology Campus District, and creation of Tax Incremental District (TID) No. 5 with an associated project plan. The council also approved a special height exemption for a four‑story Pier Street mixed‑use building, declared Oakland Green surplus and approved transfer of the parcel to Ozaukee County for creek restoration, and adopted the 2026 city budget and levy. The evening included a We Energies presentation about proposed tariffs meant to protect utility customers, an extended public comment period with both supporters and opponents of the Lighthouse project, and multiple staff briefings on park and infrastructure items.
