The Tangipahoa Parish School Board Capital Outlay Committee reviewed a quarterly report of maintenance and capital expenditures and considered design approvals and RFQs for multiple Phase 3 school projects (gyms, classroom additions, security upgrades, LED lighting and wastewater designs). Board members debated whether to refer a slate of Phase 3 projects to a strategic planning retreat; that referral failed and the board approved administration recommendations to begin the design/RFQ process for a group of campus projects. The committee also approved a roof replacement, a HVAC change order, LED lighting upgrades and security access designs, and authorized designs for several wastewater-treatment-related projects.
