Laredo ISD Business & Support Committee met Nov. 6, 2025 in the Amber Yuri Boardroom. The committee heard presentations on the "Plus 1" instructional approach; a program review of Vidal M. Treviño School of Communications & Fine Arts (VMT) including staffing, enrollment, instruments and recruitment; College, Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) pathways including sports officiating and a proposed certified personal trainer IBC and related tiering; student internships and community partnerships; several procurement and budget items including renewal requests for psychological services and a sanitation services RFP; a fence/CIP recommendation; and a customer-service/phone etiquette briefing. Board members pressed staff for enrollment and period-by-period teacher counts, cost details and documentation to support procurement decisions.
