St. Clair County Board of Commissioners and multiple standing committees met on Nov. 6, 2025. The Health & Human Services committee debated a proposed contract to staff school-based child and adolescent health clinics and tabled the item for review by the Advisory Board of Health after extensive public comment about the county health officer, medical director and school clinics. The committee approved sending a school dental screening contract (Smiles on Wheels) to the full board and considered but did not approve a state marijuana outreach grant (motion failed by tie). The board also heard a proposal for a county opioid treatment clinic backed by opioid settlement funds and approved final annexation of two parcels into the village of Capac. Multiple routine contracts and grant agreements were forwarded to the full board by other committees.
