Clay County District Schools hosted a virtual Parent Academy session on FAFSA fundamentals featuring Steve Kinney of St. Johns River State College. The one-hour webinar reviewed cost of attendance, Student Aid Index (SAI), types of aid (Pell Grant, loans, scholarships, work-study), FAFSA timing and submission tips, unusual circumstances and dependency rules, verification and documentation, and where families can find scholarships and help.
