The Louisiana Committee on Parole convened Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, to hear multiple parole-revocation and parole-review cases from several parish jails and correctional centers. The panel, chaired by Cheryl Renanza and including members Danny Mara and Pete Freeman, heard testimony from inmates, counsel, victims and facility staff, considered documentary exhibits and made final determinations: several paroles were revoked, several parole requests were denied, one inmate received a conditional grant contingent on completing long-term substance-abuse treatment, and at least one case was continued to treatment in lieu of revocation. Public supporters and victims appeared by phone and in person for multiple cases.
