MSAD 51 Board of Directors met Oct. 23, 2025. The meeting opened with a principal report from Greeley Middle School, followed by approval of minutes and a public-comment period (three speakers). The board received an extensive annual safety and security update (new Syntegix/Scribe alert system activated, ALICE drills, upgrades to cameras and visitor management, SRO staffing discussion, mental-health resources) and held extended Q&A with staff, students and first responders. The board approved policy BEDH (public participation) on second read and policy BEDJ (broadcasting/taping) and authorized the superintendent to invite Cumberland and North Yarmouth to collaborate on a joint RFP for an enrollment/growth study (amended to include growth-management planning). The superintendent delivered a long report including project updates (pre-K–1 construction, maintenance building), SRF grant applications and a summary of a NASDAC organizational study with follow-up actions (HR handbook, staffing adjustments).
