Pembroke Park commissioners met for their November regular meeting. They approved a fourth amendment to the town's exclusive franchise with Waste Management that adds curbside recycling at no direct cost to the town, updated procurement and personnel ordinances, and contracts and capital spending for town hall systems. Commissioners authorized moving forward on a town emergency generator project that uses a $400,000 HMPG reimbursable grant and $800,000 in town funds, and approved hiring outside counsel to explore possible recovery under the large-user wastewater agreement with the City of Hollywood. A proposal to draft a rotation-by-district ordinance for mayoral/vice-mayor selection failed to gain approval.
