Chair Calvin Taylor called the meeting to order, welcomed attendees in person and online, and asked Clerk Lisa Stevens to call the roll; the clerk confirmed a quorum.
The Caroline County School Board met in a regular session at Carlisle Middle School to hear presentations on alternative disciplinary supports and new math curricula, review revenue and ADM figures, consider modular classroom funding for Lewis and Clark Elementary, and hold a first reading of the FY27–31 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Board members approved the agenda, consent items, the FY27 budget calendar, and a motion to request reversion (carryover) funds to purchase modular units for Lewis and Clark; several speakers raised concerns about deferred maintenance, unfunded mandates for indoor air quality (IAQ) testing, and long-term capital funding. The board moved into executive session to act on superintendent personnel matters and subsequently approved the personnel agenda.
