The Tennessee Department of Education Alternative Education Council reviewed proposed revisions to the statewide alternative education survey (including collecting physical locations, completed transition plans, and clarifying which programs qualify for SRO grant funding), heard operational updates from districts about recent safety incidents and staffing changes, and discussed professional-development topics for a potential NEP conference focused on restorative practices and student mental health.
