At the Nov. 10 Valley County Board of Commissioners afternoon session, commissioners voted to contribute $25,000 from the FY2026 grant program to McPaw's to update and extend the animal-shelter contract and directed staff to prepare a separate contract to guarantee sheriff access; the board also approved findings for three Idaho Power conditional-use permits and designated Leaf Ranch as an Agricultural Protection Area.
