The Norwalk Board of Education policy committee met Oct. 23 for a first reading of three library policies required by recent Connecticut legislation: a collection development and maintenance policy, a library display and programming policy, and a library material review and reconsideration policy. District library media specialists presented draft language and explained the review process, timelines and protections; no formal vote on the policies was taken. The committee asked staff to return with separate final-policy drafts for approval.
