Presiding officer opened the finance meeting, called roll and led the Pledge of Allegiance; announced that audio/video recording of the public meeting is permitted under open meeting law.
The Fall River Public Schools finance committee met November 10 to review the districts finance policies and processes, discuss budget prioritization and stakeholder outreach, and raise operational concerns about bill processing, procurement and outside legal spending. Committee members asked for a working group to review policy language (much of it drawn from MASC templates), requested clearer procurement and batch labeling, and pressed for documentation on legal and outside counsel spending. The committee recessed briefly for missing members and adjourned after asking the superintendent to provide recent efficiency updates.
