The Winston Salem / Forsyth County Schools Board of Education held its Nov. 10, 2025 meeting, hearing updates on private fundraising, receiving a detailed budget and debt report, and taking unanimous votes on naming requests, budget amendments and an audit advisory policy. Interim Superintendent Cady Moore outlined last year’s overspending and a vendor-debt repayment plan; a foundation-led campaign and a county forgiveness resolution were central to debt-reduction plans. Dozens of public commenters urged the board to reverse recent furloughs and address special-education staffing and outsourced facilities problems.
