Board Chair Dr. Sarah James called the meeting to order, led a moment of silence and asked Board Member Lori Conrad to read the Marion County School District leadership commitment statement emphasizing transparency and putting students first.
The Marion County School Board convened Nov. 11, 2025, approving the consent agenda and minutes, voting unanimously to create an Attendance Boundary Advisory Committee with scheduled meetings, approving multiple student expulsions, and receiving updates on construction change orders, hydrophonic-tank replacements and district procurement policy updates. The board also recognized teachers and student artists and heard student concerns about internet filtering on district devices.
