Chair opened the November LPA meeting, explained the agenda and that Board of County Commissioners will hold final hearings on December 16, 2025 at 6 p.m. in the Palm Room, 333 Chestnut Street. Procedural rules for presentations, testimony time limits, and exhibits were described.
At the November Pinellas County Local Planning Agency meeting, the board continued a contested rezoning and future land-use amendment for a transfer station and accessory outdoor sales to a date certain (Jan. 14, 2026) after residents raised dust and health concerns. The board approved administrative changes to plat review (LDR25-01) to conform with recent state law and unanimously passed a rewrite of tree protections and mitigation rules (LDR25-02). Staff presentations explained traffic, flood, and code-consistency findings and the applicant and neighbors debated dust control, monitoring, and enforcement.
