The Lake County Planning Commission met Nov. 13, 2025, and recommended approval of a zoning ordinance change to implement housing element policy HE‑58 and approved a major use permit for Wellness Ranch (a commercial cannabis operation) after staff presentations, public comment and conditions; several cannabis-related items were continued to Dec. 11. The meeting included extended public discussion about roads, hydrology and neighbor protections.
