At its Nov. 12 meeting, the South Huntington Union Free School District Board of Education held a public hearing on the districtwide 2025 safety plan required under the SAVE Act, and approved a $500 annual memorial scholarship, two donations for the winter celebration, a lease with Camp W to continue a summer program at Birchwood Intermediate School, and the appointment of Renee Shum as the first Silas Wood Pre‑K Center principal.
