At the Nov. 17, 2025 Sylvania Schools Board of Education meeting, dozens of teachers, parents and staff urged the board to reject a proposed high-school physical education (PE) waiver, arguing it would reduce required PE, risk staff cuts and harm student wellness. The board approved a low bid to replace Northview High School turf and held a first reading on revised graduation requirements (no vote).
