The City Council of Chattanooga met Nov. 18 to hear a library department update, consider multiple zoning and public-works items, approve emergency food assistance funding after a SNAP interruption, and receive a detailed presentation and extended Q&A on a proposed Northgate/Hixson tax-increment financing (TIF) and local sales-tax capture. A number of ordinances and resolutions were approved or deferred for later consideration.
