Hood County commissioners held a special workshop April 10, 2025, to hear from the county fire marshal, outside fire officials and residents about whether and how the county should begin enforcing state-adopted fire codes (including NFPA 855 for battery storage), and the fire marshal said he will draft a fee schedule and permitting process to return to court for guidance.
