Hood County commissioners held a workshop June 12, 2025 at the Ralph Walton Junior Justice Center to review suggested revisions to the county employee handbook from a Texas Association of Counties representative; major recommendations covered administrative leave, drug/alcohol and CDL policies, FMLA language, pronoun consistency, lactation policy and other clarifications. The presenter will send redlined language to the county HR contact for the court's later consideration.
