The Kennesaw City Council on Sept. 15 approved the fiscal year 2026 operating and capital budgets, adopted a text amendment adding short-term rental provisions to the Unified Development Code, granted a home-occupation permit and a zoning variance, approved engineering design contracts and voted 4–1 to reinstate screening (metal detectors/X-ray) for public meetings.
