Santa Fe governing body held a special evening meeting to consider (1) waiving procedural rules to allow publication of an animal-abandonment bill with sponsor designation, and (2) final action on Phase 1 of a comprehensive Land Development Code (Chapter 14) rewrite. Staff presented the code rewrite, dozens of residents and stakeholders testified for and against specific provisions (archaeology triggers, parking, affordable-housing incentives), multiple technical and policy amendments were adopted, and the ordinance was approved as amended.
