Mark Tolleson, chairing in his role as chief of staff at the California High-Speed Rail Authority, opened the ninth convening, announced public comment procedures and asked task force members and commenters to introduce themselves, and noted this will be his last meeting as chair. The Transit Transformation Task Force met in Sacramento to review the draft roadmap and report process for the group's final report, advance a set of first/last-mile and active-transportation recommendations (with some amendments and a vote), discuss accessible transportation/paratransit challenges and options, reopen discussion of Transportation Development Act (TDA) reform and performance measures, and examine reforms to reduce capital construction costs and timelines. Staff will return with fleshed-out recommendation language and funding materials for upcoming meetings.
