Michigan City Water Works Superintendent Chris Johnson presented a roughly $50.5 million, two‑phase bonding plan at the Dec. 2 Common Council workshop to replace aging mains, add a booster station and fund treatment and distribution projects; he said the utility will seek IURC approval and proposed phased rate increases from $23.09 to about $39.20 over three years.
