The Caddo Parish School Board Insurance & Finance Committee received an insurance update on rising health and prescription costs, heard retiree and union concerns, and unanimously voted to recommend a package of plan changes — including a 7.5% premium increase for self-funded plans, mandatory enrollment rules for eligible retirees and spouses, a $100 specialty drug copay and an increase to the emergency-room copay — to the full board.
