Charlottesville City Schools held a work session covering a proposed elementary rezoning plan and an alternative that would preserve some walk zones, a presentation on chronic absenteeism and interventions, and a Carl Perkins CTE funding plan. Board members and many community speakers debated trade-offs among walkability, neighborhood integrity and demographic balance; a recommendation will return for first reading in April.
