Augusta planning officials approved a variance allowing a 5-foot encroachment on the side setback for an addition at Augusta Middle School and approved a conditional use permit for a construction administration trailer for the parks department; both items passed at the meeting and the trailer permit will go to city council for final approval on Oct. 20.
