At a Laurens City Council meeting, the South Carolina Victim Assistance Network presented a forensic-assault “Safe” designation to the Laurens City Police Department; the council approved a business-license ordinance (Ordinance 10-25-1) on second reading, accepted the consent agenda, and voted to enter executive session to discuss bond financing, budget adjustments and personnel compensation matters.
