Owensboro City Commission met in August 2025. Commissioners approved an ordinance allowing patrons to carry alcoholic beverages in the downtown entertainment district without a weekday permit, heard a year-end financial report and a first reading of a carryover budget amendment, confirmed routine personnel and board appointments, and heard public requests for a female veterans monument and restoration of the World War II memorial.
