Mayor Jacobson called the meeting to order, led the Pledge of Allegiance and announced two public hearings on the agenda; Winterfest at City Hall Plaza was promoted. The mayor set rules for public comment and noted one council member (Malloy) was excused.
Post Falls City Council approved several annexations and budget amendments on Dec. 2, 2025, including the contested McGuire (Maguire) annexation and R2 zoning restricted to detached single-family units after a lengthy public hearing with dozens of speakers for and against. Council also approved the North Place right-of-way vacation, several ordinance readings, budget carryovers and a small contract amendment for the water reclamation facility; staff presented the citys winter operations plan.
