The Romulus City Council held a Sept. 22 public hearing on a petition to vacate a north–south alley in the Buckingham Manor subdivision after a petitioner and several neighbors raised competing claims about fence placement, a damaged culvert and access to a sanitary sewer. Council members asked the Department of Public Works to inspect the site and will take final action at a future regular meeting.
