Springfield Technical Advisory Committee reviewed draft code amendments to allow more housing in mixed-use and Climate Friendly Areas, discussed ground-floor commercial requirements and a ‘commercial‑ready’ alternative, and raised concerns about automobile‑oriented uses, industrial adjacency and density/height tradeoffs. Staff will take policy feedback to city council and planning commission in December and return to TAC in early 2026.
