The Iowa State University presidential search committee met to call the roll, approve minutes, vote to enter closed session under Iowa law to evaluate applicants, and announced that eight candidate numbers were selected to advance to virtual semifinalist interviews scheduled for Oct. 20–22; finalist visits to campus are planned for the first week of November with final selection by the Board of Regents on Nov. 11.
