At its January meeting the Virginia State Board of Elections certified abstracts for Jan. 7 special elections, reviewed post‑election reporting and risk‑limiting audit results, approved two regulatory updates, and heard extended testimony and petitions related to complaints about general registrars and electoral board conduct in Norfolk, Franklin, Waynesboro and Radford; the board voted to direct legal petitions in three cases and dismissed one.
