Beaumont City Council held a reorganizational special session and regular meeting on Dec. 2, 2025; council named and swore in a mayor, heard a legislative recap, and held public hearings and votes on a comprehensive zoning code update, food-truck rules, vacant-property registry expansion, CDBG awards, several contracts (interim city manager, body-worn cameras), and agreements for highway mitigation and regional animal shelter planning.
