The Hermosa Beach Civil Service Board met Dec. 1, 2025, and approved staff-recommended revisions to four job classifications (police sergeant, police lieutenant, equipment mechanic, senior engineer) with minor edits to be finalized; it also reclassified the risk management analyst to a new risk program manager position and voted to allow flexibility in the degree requirement.
