At a Dec. 8, 2025 Philomath City Council work session, staff reviewed the history and financing of the citys urban renewal program and presented redevelopment options for a city-owned former gas station at 14th and Main (1340 Main). Council members expressed a general preference for a mixed-use development with ground-floor commercial space and public restrooms; staff were asked to draft an RFQ/RFP and return with more detailed options.
