At its Dec. 15, 2025 meeting, the Santa Clara County Human Trafficking Commission unanimously endorsed a regional campaign, Safety for the Bay, to provide a community resource navigator for human-rights and trafficking-related safety needs ahead of 2026 major sporting events, and forwarded funding and staffing gaps to the Board of Supervisors for consideration. Presentations from the South Bay Coalition, the District Attorneys Office, and the Office of Gender-Based Violence Prevention reviewed event preparations, data on local vulnerabilities, and county funding shortfalls.
